Harnessing the power of a global network for better public-private partnerships

What we do

We Network

Our members connect to promote projects, identify business opportunities, develop partnerships, enhance career potential, share experiences, and engage in multiple ways to achieve their professional goals and objectives.

We Engage

We organise webinars, forums, and events for our stakeholders. We foster discussions of major and minor issues related to the design, implementation, and management of PPP projects.

We Inform

We communicate on PPP issues through news, articles and social media. Our members are connected to a global PPP newsfeed through our Slack grid, our bi-weekly newsletter The PPP Times (TM), and other reports and publications.

We Advocate

We network our resources to incubate new approaches for public-private partnership, to promote best practices, and to debunk myths that harm the reputation of our profession.

We are a global community

Based in Geneva, WAPPP is a global non-governmental organization. We help our members achieve their professional goals and we promote best practices in PPP to align with UN SDGs.

WAPPP, the home for PPP Professionals

WAPPP is the home for PPP professionals. We’re a multi-stakeholder network bringing together public-private partnership professionals from PPP units, infrastructure agencies, long term investors and PPP consultants from around the globe together, to learn from each other and create better PPPs that deliver value for the future. Members are able to engage with each other on neutral ground to discuss latest PPP trends and challenges, share experiences and create solutions in the spirit of open innovation. WAPPP is registered as an NGO in Switzerland and has its seat in International Geneva.

Why join us ?

Networking PPP professionals

We provide networking opportunities among PPP professionals to share knowledge, advice, and ideas. This is important because PPPs are complex undertakings that require multiple financial, legal, technical, environmental, social, political, policy, program, project, local and international perspectives.

Helping our members reach their potential

We empower! Our individual members can find jobs. Our consultant members can find projects to work on. Our PPP unit members can find consultants or strategic and financial investors for their projects. Our investor members can find project investment opportunities.

Providing our members a global exposure

We give our members global exposure through our various platforms so they can promote their personal or institutional projects, services, research, or initiatives.

Helping achieve the SDGs

We champion PPP because it lies at the core of the Partnership pillar of SDGs. The Partnership pillar is unique in that it is not an objective in itself, but a means for achieving the other four pilars of People, Planet, Peace, and Prosperity.

Moving PPP to the Next Level

More than a tool for public procurement, we regard PPP as a tool for development. We see this shift of paradigm as helping design and implement projects which are less controversial and more attune to the needs of the communities they profess to serve.

Closing the infrastructure gap

We are concerned by the immense size of the projected global infrastructure financing gap. We strive to make sure that PPP is practiced in a sustainable, socially-acceptable, and financially-efficient way.
