2026 Theme Webinar 2 – From Model to Institution: Designing Credible National Infrastructure Financing Institutions

05/03/2026 | 3.00 – Webinar

No participation fee CHF – Open to public

Information

Following the strong foundation laid in Webinar 1, “Why National Infrastructure Financing Institutions Matter”, we now turn to the practical question: How do governments design credible, commercially disciplined National Infrastructure Financing Institutions?

As part of WAPPP’s 2026 global theme on National Infrastructure Financing Institutions (NIFIs), Webinar 2 moves the discussion from strategic rationale to institutional implementation.

Around the world, governments are establishing development banks, infrastructure funds, and hybrid financing vehicles to mobilize long-term capital beyond annual budget cycles. But institutional form alone does not ensure impact.
